Middleton Group Buys Agfa Press
Agfa Graphics announced The Middleton Group of Ontario, Canada, has purchased Agfa's :M-Press TIGER, a high-speed UV flatbed inkjet press.
Developed jointly with Thieme, Agfa's :M-Press TIGER combines the printing expertise of both companies: screen printing from Thieme and digital inkjet printing from Agfa. It can print up to 185 sheets per hour (8281 ft²/hr) on substrates up to 65" x 104" in size. The standard printing table is equipped with three vacuum zones - the optional universal print table has 48 vacuum zones, which can be configured as presets for the user's most popular formats.
"We often hear that Middleton is number one for quality in the greater Toronto area. We feel our service is right up there as well. Our clients demand top quality and very quick turn-around. The :M-Press TIGER will provide us with exceptional quality and dramatically increase our print production output per shift. We are confident that the strength and power of the 'TIGER' will keep us on top!" said Rob Stratton, President, The Middleton Group.
"Agfa recently added variable data printing (VDP) capabilities to the M-Press TIGER with the :Apogee VIBE workflow. Users can offer their customers a wider range of products and services without slowing down the printing process in most cases, and still provide superior image quality and detail rendering with low ink consumption, mimicking the look and feel of offset," said Deborah Hutcheson, Agfa's director of marketing.
