Admore (www.admoreonline.com), Macomb, Mich., was recognized at “The Gallery of Superb Printing and The Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen” Awards Dinner on April 15. “The Gallery of Superb Printing” awards program is held annually to recognize deserving companies for outstanding workmanship in the printing industry.
Admore—a leading producer of folders, binders, portfolios and other presentation products—was honored for its achievements in a wide range of categories, receiving four awards. The 2008 Admore Line Sales Kit won a gold award for printer’s self promotion-combo techniques. Submissions in the presentation folder-combo techniques category earned two silver awards, and Admore was also recognized with a bronze award in the category foil stamping-three or more colors. Entries in “The Gallery of Superb Printing” are judged based upon quality of the piece. They are evaluated on registration, ink coverage, color intensity, dot structure, binding quality and finishing, overall appearance and difficulty.
In other news, Calibrated Forms, Columbus, Kan., has doubled its long-run cut sheet capacity with the installation of an additional three-wide sheeter long-run cut sheet press. The new addition is expected to enhance efficiency and provide Calibrated Forms with aggressive turnaround times and competitive prices for its 11" and 14" repeat lengths on long-run cut sheets.
