Britten Banners Opens High-Volume Production Facility
Last week, fresh off the production of 15 huge building wraps for the Superbowl in Indianapolis, Britten Banners, Inc. cut the ribbon on its new, 125,000 sq. ft. “High-Volume-Banner-Production” facility in Traverse City, Mich. The facility is one part of a 275,000 sq. ft. campus of three factories.
Armed with four multi-color automatic screen printing presses, 14 Hewlett Packard large-format roll-to-roll digital presses and the new HP 7500 Digital Flatbed Press, Britten has more banner printing firepower than anyone else in the promotional banner category. And, its printing firepower is equaled by its sewing capability: more than 35 full-time seamstresses cover three shifts to make sure America is getting its banners, on-time and on-budget.
Over the past 27 years, Britten Banners has grown from a small shop into one of the country’s largest printers and manufacturers of banners for events, stadiums and shopping centers with clients including Disney, NASCAR, the NFL and Simon Malls.
According to Founder and President Paul Britten, “Britten is excited to explore exclusive partnerships with commercial printers who often must outsource the 'Banner' portion of their RFPs.”
Last fall, Britten successfully completed 28,000 banners in less than six days for commercial offset printer CPS Gumpert in Hunt Valley, Md. The company is currently producing 60,000 banners to be distributed nationwide for a major lawn-care company and routinely ships more than 4,000 custom banner projects a month.
