Glenwood, Minnesota-based American Solutions for Business (ASB) has long been a supporter of worthy causes throughout its community and beyond. To coordinate it’s fund-raising, ASB has formed the American Stewardship Committee, comprised of up to 12 volunteers who organize and plan the various fund-raising events throughout the year. “For awhile, it seemed that the bulk of our efforts took place in December, a time when families are taxed to the maximum as far as time, money and stress,” said Faith Anderson, committee member. “So, we took a look at our areas of focus and decided to spread the fund-raising efforts throughout the year.”

The employees of American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn., are dedicated to supporting worthy causes throughout the community and beyond. To coordinate its fundraising efforts, ASB has formed a committee called American Stewardship Committee. The committee consists of 10 to 12 volunteers who organize and plan various events throughout the year. Last November, ASB formed an initiative called “Support the Troops,” where a collection of 10 25-lb. boxes containing basic necessities were sent to men and women serving the military overseas. In addition, last December, ASB raised more than $5,000 at a silent auction for “Prevent Child Abuse Minnesota,” a 27-year-old organization working

American Solutions for Business (ASB), Glenwood, Minn., was recognized for the seventh consecutive year by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) for industry leadership in promotional products sales. Each year, ASI recognizes the top 40 distributors in the promotional products industry based on the previous year’s gross revenue. ASB was ranked 18th this year, with promotional products sales totaling $78.1 million—an increase of 15.9 percent from the previous year’s volume. George Horner, sales associate for American Solutions for Business, Glenwood, Minn., was on his bicycle only a quarter of a mile away when the I-35W bridge collapsed in Minneapolis last month. After seeing dark smoke rise out of an area of collapsed pavement, Horner and about six other bikers immediately rode to the scene, less than a minute after the collapse. Said Horner, “I saw people standing on the fallen bridge using cell phones, cars in the water and people above on the bridge deck struggling to get down to the ground.” After helping victims, he and the remaining bikers went their separate ways.
