The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on Tuesday announced a recall of nearly 100,000 USB mobile chargers, citing a fire hazard due to overheating.
While no injuries were reported, the chargers, distributed by importer DGL Group and sold at retailer Five Below under the name "Vibe USB Mobile Power Bar," were involved in six instances of "melted parts, smoking, leaking batteries and fire, resulting in reports of bursting power bars and minor property damage," according to the CPSC's recall notice.
