Donnelley &amp; Sons Company<\/strong> announced that its facility in Crawfordsville, Ind. has been recommended for certification to OSHA&#8217;s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status, which reflects excellence in occupational safety and health as well as a commitment to continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Safety is the first and most important measure of operational excellence,&#8221; said John Paloian, RR Donnelley&#8217;s Chief Operating Officer. &#8220;This kind of performance requires exceptional teamwork, innovation and attention to detail. We are proud of our employees&#8217; safety record worldwide and especially pleased that our team in Crawfordsville has been recognized with this important distinction.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> According to OSHA, the typical VPP worksite, such as RR Donnelley&#8217;s Crawfordsville operation, has a lost workday incidence rate of 50 percent below the average of its industry.
