Hewlett-Packard (HP), headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif., announced that the United States Air Force has issued a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement for HP single-function and multifunction printers and consumables for its Digital Printing and Imaging initiative (DPI).
The Air Force's DPI initiative is based on five key elements of its imaging and printing environment, including savings, security, standardization, simplification and streamlining. The new five-year agreement reconfirmed trust in HP's ability to assess and manage imaging and printing devices and processes on a global scale.
"HP continues to advance printing and imaging technology to meet the most challenging demands for our customers around the world," said John Solomon, senior vice president, printing and personal systems, and managing director, Americas, for HP. "HP's selection by the United States Air Force is a true testament to our ability to provide consistent, comprehensive and reliable solutions throughout the years."
Previously, HP received a Blanket Purchase Agreement for DPI in 2008.
Products that will be distributed as part of the contract include multifunction printers such as the HP LaserJet Enterprise M4555fskm, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow M680z, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise Flow M880z, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 775z and the HP Digital Sender Flow 8500 fn1.
