Taylor Label, located in Brampton, Ontario, has developed FSC-certified laser labels. The FSC-certified GoGreen Labels are designed to run in laser and ink-jet printers, as well as copiers and digital presses. The company stocks more than 30 popular blank formats, and produces custom and printed versions on demand. The labels look, feel and perform just like traditional laser labels, yet they are a “green revolution” for this product category.
Taylor Label—a trade-only company—was named “The Most Environmentally Progressive Printer in Canada” at the Environmental Print Awards held in March 2007, and went on to become the first FSC Certified label converter in June of the same year.
All products are manufactured in what Taylor Label calls its “Green Cycle Production Method,” which encompasses raw materials, energy, packaging and shipping. The company uses its own FSC-certified stock, as well as corn-based, recycled and re-used raw materials. In addition, Taylor Label’s production facility runs on 100 percent green power; its packaging is FSC-certified, corn-based, recycled and re-used; and finished products are shipped carbon-free.
