I was talking to a local printer the other day and he was lamenting how slow business has been. He expressed added concern about how many of his customers were buying their printing on the Internet.
It's not just printing — the Internet has created more competition in virtually every industry. Even in my own promotional product marketplace, a Google search reveals 5.7 million places to shop other than my showroom.
